The law requires the employer to do everything necessary for the safety of all employees/workers and requires the employer to immediately correct an unsafe situation in violation against The Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Regulations and/or Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
To ensure that all employees/workers are aware of the importance of health and safety, the following disciplinary process shall apply should a violation be observed against the Occupational Health & Safety Act & Regulations and/or Company Safety Policies & Procedures.
Disciplinary Process Policy
Disciplinary action means: one (1) day to one (1) month off from work without salary-dismissal.
The Company will allow supervisors five (5) days to determine the disciplinary action to be imposed.
They must consider all circumstances, the severity, frequency and consequences of a particular violation.
The Supervisor and Management shall make all decisions, including immediate dismissal of an employee/worker, jointly.
