Job Description
Caron Equipment Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Surface Mining Construction Supervisor to join our team. In this critical role, you will oversee and manage all construction activities related to surface mining operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and with within budget for our In-Town operations.
To be successful in this role the candidate must have extensive expertise in construction technology, methods, tools, equipment and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and quality assurance and quality control requirements. This role demands an efficient leader capable of supervising and directing teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage all phases of construction projects in the surface mining sector, ensuring adherence to technology, documentation, and work procedures.

Daily planning of tasks

Enforce strict compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations.

Daily review of paperwork such as time cards and haul sheets

In field meetings with the client to maintain client relationships

Plans and supervises day-to-day operations on site.

Ensures scheduling of crew

Participate in training and keeping completed records of training.

Participates with the Project Manager, Superintendent and Client in the development of the Project’s.

Recommends equipment replacement, addition, deletion, modifications and ensure that required maintenance is completed.

Incident investigations (Support Safety Advisor where required)

Lead and direct groups efficiently, ensuring project and budgets are met.
Qualifications:
-
5+ years’ experience in a similar role.

Heavy Civil project experience an asset
-
Experience with earthworks and heavy machinery of all types.

Demonstrated leadership, with proven problem-solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

A high level of organizational skills.

Able to work at our remote worksites on a rotational basis.
