Human Resource Generalist

An HR Generalist helps management and employees maintain good relations with employees. They help people communicate with each other effectively, keep records about employees while helping Managers decide when to make reprimands, employee terminations, pay raises, or awards, and make sure that employees are treated fairly.

HR Generalist helps create company policies to maximize productivity. An HR Generalist can encourage everyone to work together and get along well with each other, improving the business’ reputation as a good place to work.

The successful candidate will facilitate daily HR functions such as payroll and benefits administration, supporting the recruitment process and other HR/administrative initiatives.

HR Generalist duties and responsibilities

  • Reviewing performance evaluations and other reports

  • Training new employees and working with department heads to create training programs

  • Helping Managers decide on salaries to offer to new hires

  • Answering questions from employees, and recording and investigating complaints when needed

  • Using software to monitor employees, the hours they work, and the tasks they complete

  • Negotiating with unions and other labour organizations

Salary: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
