Job Description

​

Caron Equipment Inc. is looking for a mining construction supervisor with a range of experience for our mine construction operations near Gogama, Ontario.

​

Duties:

  • Conducts daily Toolbox Meeting

  • Daily planning of tasks (Would work with superintendent in the morning)

  • Participate in Hazard Analysis reviews

  • Daily review of paperwork such as timecards, haul sheets….

  • In field meetings with the client to maintain client relationships

  • Plans and supervises day-to-day operations on site.

  • Ensures scheduling of crew

  • Participate in training and keeping completed records of training.

  • Participates with the Project Manager, Superintendent and Client in the development of the Project’s.

  • Recommends equipment replacement, addition, deletion, modifications and ensure that required maintenance is completed.

  • Incident investigations (Support Safety Advisor where required)

  • Job planning

​

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Heavy Civil project experience an asset

  • Experience with earthworks and heavy machinery of all types.

  • Proven leadership skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • A high level of organizational skills.

  • Able to work at our remote worksites on a rotational basis.
