Overtime, Traveling and Accommodations
Overtime
Overtime hours are paid after 48 hours worked in a one-week period
Recording and deduction of travelling time
Traveled time must be recorded in full on separate lines on the employee’s time sheet
Traveling is defined as time traveled to and from work. Traveling time shall be paid at the employee’s regular hourly rate
Appropriate deduction of traveling time shall be handled by the payroll department
Daily travelling less than 25kms
No travelling time shall be paid to the driver or passenger(s)
This includes driving a company vehicle
Daily travelling over 25kms
Half the travelling time shall be paid
Travel time shall be paid at the employee’s regular hourly rate
Weekly out of town travelling
Half of the traveling time shall be paid
Traveled time shall be paid at the employee’s regular hourly rate
Working out of town accommodations
The company shall pay for rooming expenses
Meals shall be paid out as follows;
$25.00 for the first and last day worked
$40.00 for each day in between
Notice
Travelling and accommodations will only be paid when approved by your supervisor
