Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Control Lead to oversee our company's quality control program at our Cote Site, IamGold.  The Quality Control Lead will be responsible for ensuring that our products and services meet or exceed customer expectations and comply with relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality control program, including building upon our currently used Inspection Testing Plans (ITP’s).

  • Review and direct field crews on the proper contract specifications and acceptable tolerances for applicable scopes of work based upon the clients, manufacturers, or engineer of records specifications and contract documents.

  • Conduct quality control inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

  • Establish quality control procedures and guidelines.

  • Train and mentor quality control personnel.

  • Monitor and report on quality control metrics, including defect rates and customer satisfaction.

  • Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and forms.

  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and other departments to identify and resolve quality issues.

  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.

  • Continuously improve the quality control program to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of incoming raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Work with vendors and suppliers to establish quality requirements for purchased materials and components.

  • Lead investigations into non-conformance, customer complaints, and quality issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Develop and maintain quality control metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and report on them to senior management.

  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement new products or processes and ensure that quality requirements are met.

  • Work with the Quality Assurance department to ensure that quality control procedures align with overall company quality policies and objectives.

  • Conduct training sessions for employees on quality control procedures, standards, and tools.

  • Ensure that all quality control equipment and tools are calibrated and maintained according to established schedules and procedures.

  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in quality control and make recommendations for process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree for Civil, Geological or Material Engineering, Construction

  • 5+ years of experience in quality control or related role.

  • Strong knowledge of quality control regulations and standards.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lead and manage a team.

  • Experience with quality control tools and techniques, such as statistical process control and root cause analysis.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
